I tried a couple things on the front seatback that I may not repeat. First, I drew marking lines on the foam at 45° angles to the foam to help line up the UNI when I laid it on. Worked nice for that, but didn't look real nice when the layup was done - you can see it through the 'glass. I also tried the poor man's vacuum bagging method, where you apply a layer of clear plastic over the fiberglass then squeegee while it's on there. The technique works pretty well, but, either I used bad plastic or didn't do it right.

I ended up with lots of wrinkles in the plastic (even though I worked hard for about an hour to pull all of them out) and now I have wrinkles hardened in the epoxy. No big deal - it will be covered up with upholstery so you won't see it much. I also had a hard time understanding where to put the peel ply - I figured it out long after the epoxy was cured. Live and learn, I guess. I thought about building the seatback over but a couple of other builders talked me out of it.
