bulletStep 2  FORWARD BULKHEADS
F-22 is not a complex piece, but, it felt good to finally build something that looked nice when I was done!

The forward bulkheads were a lot easier than the front seatback.  I was convinced after the number of mistakes I made on the front seatback that I wasn't going to be able to build this airplane.  You learn fast, however, and each part/layup gets easier and you do a much better job of it.

F-28 leaning against the jig table when finished. I'll trim the fiberglass above the doubler when I mount it. I bought a Fein sander about the time I finished F-22 and F-28, it works great to trim the extra fiberglass and epoxy.  I didn't mess with peel try or knife trim, since I did such a good job on the layup and didn't want to mess it up.  However, the Fein sander chowed right through even multiple layers in short order.

Next step is the Instrument Panel
