Chapter 9 landing brake |

Some time back, I was working on Chapter 13, step 4, the
installation of the box assembly on the fuselage. Once we had the
NG-30s mounted on the front of F-22,
I had a little fun with my daughter Emily. We shot some video of the
nose gear, well, the strut anyway, transiting up and down using the Wilhelmson nose lift I purchased. Click the

Of course, it goes up just as nice as it goes down. Click the image
to the left (heads up - it's 2.7MB) to see the gear retracting/going up.
Yes, of course, the assembly is not finished, there's no nose wheel on
the end of that strut, etc. As I've said before, however, this plane
takes a long time to build. Stopping at points like this and making
the gear going up and down is fun, though, and we need some fun to get us to
the end! |
