Chapter 9 landing brake

Some time back, I was working on Chapter 13, step 4, the installation of the box assembly on the fuselage.  Once we had the NG-30s mounted on the front of F-22, I had a little fun with my daughter Emily.  We shot some video of the nose gear, well, the strut anyway, transiting up and down using the Wilhelmson nose lift I purchased.  Click the image to the left (heads up - the video file is 3.1 MB) to see the video of it extending/going down.

Of course, it goes up just as nice as it goes down.  Click the image to the left (heads up - it's 2.7MB) to see the gear retracting/going up.

Yes, of course, the assembly is not finished, there's no nose wheel on the end of that strut, etc.  As I've said before, however, this plane takes a long time to build.  Stopping at points like this and making the gear going up and down is fun, though, and we need some fun to get us to the end!
