Added flox & peel ply to the outboard access holes, then microed the ends, floxed same & added the 1 ply BID layup & peel plied that

Sanded the edges of the inner access holes smooth & cut a corner into the edges of the ends for a flox corner

Removed peel ply from the previous layup then laid out & drilled the 2 1/4" holes for wing bolt access

Did the 2 ply UNI layup over the front face of the spar; layup # 8, peel plied and cleaned up

Newspaper and taped protected the spar sides, filled the epoxy pump, filled the micro jug

Sanded bevels for glass to glass aroun the access holes, then, cleaned up and cut UNI pieces for the next layup

Trimmed the edges from the previous layup & cleaned that up. Marked and cut out the 5" x 13" access holes on the front face.

Did the 3 ply UNI 1 ply BID layups over LWA2 and LWA3

Removed peel ply from the spar. Sanded with 36 grit the glass around LWA2 and LWA3 and cleaned to prep for the next layup.

Finished the 4 ply UNI layup on the spar, added the metal pieces, peel plied the whole thing and cleaned up

Microed the spar, painted the spar with epoxy then did 3 pieces, one layer, of UNI

Taped up the spar ends and bottom, laid out plastic and alodined aluminum parts in prep for layup 6

Cut fiberglass for layup number 6 & made some wood blocks to hold the spar off the table

Sanded the wood blocks smooth with the sides of the spar, 36 grit sanded the spar caps for the next layup

Cut slots on the top of the spar for the wood blocks

Belt sanded the spar caps smooth with the aft face, then routed both aft edges with a 3/16" radius roundover bit

Added some short spar cap tape pieces in the low spots that were left after doing all required layers in the previous layup

Did the bottom spar cap layup with Dave McCormick's help, peel plied and cleaned up

Finished the prep work for the bottom spar cap; marked butt lines, laid out plastic, filled the expoxy pump, etc.

Finished the preparatory work with the exception of marking the butt lines

Cleaned up then started preparing for the bottom spar cap layup; cut wood pieces, applied box tape, etc.

Finished removing the wood braces, hot melt glue and drips from the previous layup, then, mounted the spar to the table, sanded the trough and started readying the wood braces for the top spar cap

Finished the top spar cap trough and cleaned up. 9 + hours - sheesh!

Finished preparing the spar for the next layup then started same; broke for lunch after 3 layers wet out

Covered with box sealing tape and installed the wood backs for the spar cap troughs

Made wood strips for the spar troughs, test installed them then ran out of tape (grin)

Removed peel ply from the spar troughs, sanded them dull & smooth with 36 grit, then chocked the spar with the top face up

Peel plied the previous layup, stippled a bit with a brush, etc. then cleaned up

Finished doing the 4 ply UND layup for the spar shear web

Microed the aft face then started applying the shear web. Three pieces of UND applied, 1 of 4 layers, 3 layers to go

Laid out plastic for drips and marked the plastic pieces made for applying the fiberglass

Finished cutting glass, then taped and papered the forward half of the spar

Started cutting glass for the shear web

Started measuring to cut glass for the shear web, then, did a vaccum bag test on the spar

Finished carving and sanding the 1/2" by 1" bevels on the forward face of the spar and cleaned up

Marked then started carving and sanding the 1/2" by 1" bevels on the forward face

Rounded the corners of the aft face for the shear web layup, then, mixed and applied some pour foam

Cut out the spar cap trough templates, then, began cutting out the spar cap troughs

Removed the spar from the jig, to make sure I could, then put it back on for full cure. Started making the spar trough templates.

Re-drilled holes in the center bulkheads. Trimmed the ends of, removed the peel ply from, vacuumed & installed the forward face, weighed down, after adding micro to the foam it joins with.

Knife and scissor-trimmed the previous layup

Cut glass, then added micro, 1 ply BID (layup 1) and peel ply to the inside of the aft face PVC foam pieces

Finished the spar interior layups by adding the 1 ply BID inside 5" overlap pieces on the ends, all the UNI, the LWA1 pieces, the BID over then and finally the center bulkhead and weights where required

Did 85% or so of the spar interior layups; I have the 1 ply BID on the entire interior and CS-6 and -7 installed with their BID on both sides

Cut all the remaining fiberglass, then, sanded the LWA1 pieces dull with sandpaper

Cut paper patterns for the next glass layups, made wood parts for weight application

Measured and marked the locations of the LWA1 aluminum pieces, started laying out fiberglass

Finished making the LWA pieces, and, sanding the radius on the edges of them per plans

Made the CS-6, CS-7 and center bulkheads, started making the aluminum pieces LWA-3 and etc.

Made then microed on CS-5 and CS-8, also, made up blanks for the other bulkheads

Added some weights, cleaned up some micro drips and checked everything square

Microed all the urethane pieces onto the bottom PVC pieces

Carved the tops of the urethane pieces to match the spar jig

Cut the micro-joined pieces to size, then, installed PVC pieces onto the ABC shelf and microed them together

Finished cutting foam pieces to their overall sizes, microed the 1" pieces together and cleaned up

Checked the spar jig square then started cutting foam pieces to size and shape

Continued cutting foam pieces to size; microed a couple pieces of 1/4" PVC together

Re-leveled the jig table, 'installed' the centersection jig and then fixed it to the table and repaired some breaks/not square pieces

Cleaned up the spar jig Larry Wiechmann loaned me; removed duct tape, micro drips, etc. then started squaring/leveling and taping it with box sealing tape

Cut foam for and installed, with flox, the LWA-4 and LWA-5 pieces

Sanded and shaped the top spar cap trough

Finished making razor saw cuts in the aft face, then sanded the bottom spar cap trough
